I don't remember how, exactly, it all started, but in March of 2005 J and I bundled ourselves and our three dogs drive into our VW camper and drove from Santa Fe, New Mexico to New York, on the following reconnaissance mission: Should we move to New York? If so, where? Our three options were Beacon, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. We looked at Beacon first, fell in love with a house, and then didn't even bother looking farther south.

Hi Naomi, I absolutely can't stand winter. It's been just awful and I want it to go away and I want to make a decision about an exciting place to go...........and, but for the snow, you make Beacon sound like the most curious and interesting place. There is even room on your blog for the sort of gorgeous photo that I never like, but there it is and looking pretty interesting as a betrayal of spring...no, excuse me, a portrayal...of course I assume that Beacon has gotten far more expensive in the short time you've been there, but.... fantasies life.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you received a rusty shovel...and that you had fabulous vehicles because it sounds as if you two have created a fine life....
much love...Melissa ps, I don't know what a url is...I did start a blog because i wanted to do one about aging, same reasons you wanted to start one, but I can't now remember where I left the one entry or my passwords...
